Join the LCI

The LCI is a newly created organization devoted to supporting and promoting learning communities in the health professions. We offer multiple membership options to meet the needs of learning communities as well as interested parties. We welcome you to join the LCI to enjoy the benefits collaborating in a supportive and purposeful way to enhance health professions education.

Annual membership is offered July 1st - June 30th with these choices:

Organizing Institutional Members

Annual dues: $1,000 per year, 2013-2018 (then Institutional Member rate).
Organizing members are recognized for providing core financial support to the LCI and will be highlighted on LCI webpages as institutions vital to the development and organization of the LCI.
Membership includes: LCI affiliation for all faculty from one’s institution including discounted member pricing, participation in LCI committee and leadership activities, and access to private LCI web resources.

Institutional Members  

Annual dues: $400 per year.
Institutional members will be recognized on on LCI webpages.
Membership includes: affiliation for all LC-associated faculty from one’s institution with discounted member pricing, participation in LCI committee and leadership activities, and access to private LCI web resources.

Individual Members

Annual dues: $100 per year
Individual membership open to any interested individual.
Benefits include: Discount pricing for LCI activities, participation in LCI committees, leadership activities, and access to private LCI web resources.

Individual Affiliates

Annual dues: free of dues for first two years, then continuance option at prevailing member dues rates Affiliate membership open to any interested individual
Benefits include: access to private LCI web resources and participation on LCI committees.

Additional Member Benefits

  • Access to best practices in LCs found on LCI webpages.
  • Networking with LCI peers across institutions.
  • Discounted pricing when attending LCI meetings.
  • Opportunities for leadership and scholarly collaboration.
  • Voting Privileges - Org. Inst. Members and Inst. Member LCs will each be allotted five votes and asked to select five individuals from their LCs to be designated as voting members of the LCI. Individual Members will be granted one vote. (Affiliates are not granted voting privileges until they transition to an Individual or Institutional Member.)
